LHH is seeking a highly experienced Medical Billing Specialist for an highly reputable healthcare company in San Francisco, CA for a 6 month contract period. See the qualifications below and apply today!
Responsibilities:
Accurately assign appropriate codes to Oral Surgery treatment plans, post-operative hospital reports, and EHR chart notes.
Utilize in-depth knowledge of surgical, anesthesia, and sleep apnea codes to ensure precise billing.
Verify and review medical documentation to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain any necessary additional information for accurate coding and billing.
Conduct thorough research and stay updated on coding and billing changes and requirements.
Communicate effectively with insurance companies and payers to resolve billing inquiries, preauthorization requests, and claims.
Identify and resolve any coding and billing discrepancies or denials in a timely manner.
Ensure proper documentation and submission of claims for both private insurance and Medicare.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Assist with revenue cycle management, including accurate and timely billing, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up.
Qualifications:High school diploma and/or equivalent, required.
3-5 years of experience in Surgical, Anesthesia, and Sleep apnea hospital (oral surgery) billing experience, required.
Medical coding and billing certification, required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, My Ability, and Axium software, preferred.
CPC Certification, highly preferred.
Experience in Oral surgery coding treatment plans, post-operative hospital reports, and other EHR chart notes, required.
Extensive knowledge of surgical, anesthesia, durable medical sleep apnea codes, and medical insurance billing requirements, required.
Skilled in handling pre-authorizations and claim billing for private insurance and Medicare, required.
